So they all rolled over and one fell out...

Jackson is trying to roll over, but he doesn't realize he can almost do it, and that with a little bit more effort he'll get there. And he's doing it back to front, which is harder. Leave it to Jackson to do things the hardest possible way! For July 4th weekend, Uncle David and Aunt Jenn came up. Lots of fun and videos after the jump.

Uncle David was playing with Jackson on the floor, and Jack actually did roll over! We were all in the room, but none of us saw it, and Jackson wouldn't do it again!!! We got some video of him trying to do it again - he almost made it.



Then we also got some video of him reaching out and grabbing his hippo rattle. These days he's been doing a lot of reaching out and grabbing for things. He's just starting to figure out that he can make his hands work, and that he can take things.



I also think he wants to talk. You can have a "conversation" with him. If you talk to him, he'll coo and work his mouth like he's talking back. He's also "running in place" in the exersaucer at day care - I wouldn't be surprised if he skipped crawling and went straight to walking!
