The Nursery! (Actual Rendition)

As some of our visitors know, the room that is now Jack's nursery was formerly known as David's room. David is my bestest friend, and he lives in the Washington DC area. He visits often, and he stayed in that room when he visited (also known as The Red Room for reasons that will become obvious in the pictures below). Starting in late January, we began repainting the room, putting furniture together, and generally getting everything ready for Jack's arrival, should he choose to arrive early. After the shower, we put all of Jack's things away, and now the room is ready. Pictures after the jump.

As I mentioned, we referred to this as The Red Room. We had painted the walls a color called "Cheerful Cherry." It was very dramatic, and we loved it quite a bit. We were sorry to see it go, and wished we had painted our second bedroom in the red so we still had a red room. However, it did take two coats of primer and two coats of paint to cover the red, so on second thought...

We of course did the nursery in a sea theme, so the walls are now Jazz! blue. We purchased a wall paper border to match the bedding we had picked out, and stuck it to the wall at window-sill height.
