Milestones! And General Cuteness.

Jackson can sit up unsupported! Of course, the second he reaches for something, he falls right over. It's adorable to see him sit there concentrating on something, and then slowly start to tip over like the leaning tower of Pisa, until he falls over onto his side and then rolls over onto his back.


Daddy's a bit excited, because one of the first things Jackson will reach for is the XBox controller. Maybe it's the buttons, or the way the center button lights up, but Jackson loves that XBox controller!










Jackson is also trying to crawl. We put a toy juuuust out of Jackson's reach, and try to get him to craw to the toy. My sister also gave me the tip to use my hands as a firm surface to push off against - you'll see in the video below that Jackson's just swimming right now... when I put my hands against his feet, Jackson pushes off against them and manages to push himself forward a few inches. Lemon was trying to help today by taunting Jackson. She'd walk up to him, give him a sniff of encouragement, and then walk away out of his reach to try to get him to crawl toward her. I wouldn't be surprised if Jackson's crawling by Thanksgiving!
