Mom-Mom Time!

My mother came over on Thursday 5/7 and spent the day with Jackson and me. We had a great time. We walked around the corner to a diner for lunch (the day started out gorgeous), and as we were leaving to head back home, the sky opened up and it started to pour! The raindrops were huge, and we were soaked in minutes. Fortunately, Jackson was in his stroller, which has visors that you can pull up for just this sort of occasion. Jack was dry as a bone. My mom and I? Not so much. Let's just say that anyone looking out of their windows got quite a wet T-shirt show... And of course, it stopped raining as soon as we got in the house!

Jackson played for a long time on his activity mat, swatting at the red giraffe and looking at his reflection in the mirror. He hasn't quite realized yet that his hands swatting are what make the dangly-bits... dangle. But just the other day Jack grabbed Jesse's finger. Soon enough Jack's going to realize the connection between moving his hands and making objects move. Very exciting! Click below to see some video of Jack totally digging mat time.
