Today Jackson is four weeks and one day old. On one hand, it doesn't seem like he could be this old already. On the other hand, it feels like Jack has been a part of our lives forever, and I can't remember what it was like to not have him around. So, how are we doing, one month in?Our typical day still consists of:
6:00 Jack wakes up, cries a little
6:30-7:15 Eat, poop
7:15 Diaper change
7:18 Poop again
7:20 Diaper change
7:25 Cry, poop, spit up a bit
7:30 Diaper change
7:35-8:30 Fuss, get into sling, sleep a little bit
8:30-9:15 Eat, poop (rinse, lather, repeat throughout the day in three hour intervals)
We try to do activity mat time, swing time, and tummy time... and we get about five minutes of each before fussiness sets in. We also dance around the living room and dining room when I try to get Jack to nap a little. We also read books, but usually only get a page or two in to a story before Jack freaks out.
Jack swats at the toys on his activity mat, stares at his mobile and his own face in a mirror, and looks at people's faces. He can lift his head up, but doesn't hold it up for a long amount of time yet. Jack rolls side to side, and I wouldn't be surprised if he rolls over in the next couple of weeks.
The weather has been cold and rainy, so our walks are limited to a tour of the house. We can't wait until the weather warms up a bit.
We're looking forward to: smiling, giggling, recognizing faces, holding up his head, and grabbing!

Jackson is an absolute doll! He looks so bright and alert, and you can tell he is completely loved. Someday he'll be hugging you and telling you how beautiful you are. It's like having your very own obsessed groupie.
