Yo Adrian!

The weather in Philadelphia has been nearly unbearable - typical Philly August: muggy and hot! While we have air conditioning units in Jackson's and our bedroom, we don't have one downstairs. With fans going and the windows open, we can usually get somewhat comfortable.

Last Saturday though (8/1/2009) it was so hot! We were out and about anyway, so we went to the Art Museum. Since we're members admission was free, and the museum's air conditioned. Who knows if Jackson got anything out of the trip other than cold air... We visited the impressionists, and Jackson did spend a bit of time staring at some of my favorite Monet paintings.

We also took a walk afterward through the gazebo behind the museum. Next time we go, I'll get a picture of the grounds - the park area along the river adjacent to the Water Works has recently been redesigned, and it's lovely. The only problem is that the trees are too new, and there's not enough shade there for now.
